The Line For A Taxi At Capital Airport
This was taken on a Tuesday night at about 2AM. There was around 200 people coming out of the international terminal looking for taxis - the subway had closed for the night and there weren’t any buses at the time. The airport staff were doing a decent job keeping things orderly, but this is definitely not the image you want to present to people arriving in your city. First impressions and what not.
There are many people who would say Beijing has been dealing with a shortage of taxis for a while (I never have trouble myself, but I start work earlier than most when it’s easy to hail a cab). Nevertheless, airports should be one place where you are able to always find a taxi quickly.
Tried to introduce the classic RPG Baldur’s Gate to my girlfriend. Loaded it up and saw this little gem of a quote from Friedrich Nietzsche.
